Sandra Bullock’s character in Mrs Congeniality was a feminist, and even she thought that women should be taught self defense.

  • AnonymousAm I the only person on this entire goddamned site that thinks that "Because it's distracting to other students" is a valid reason for a school to not allow girls (or anyone for that matter, but it's generally girls that push it) to show up at school in booty shorts or whatever? Obviously there are other good reasons, but school is a place for learning, not a place to show off one's body.

problackgirl:

we’ve taught girls to romanticise nearly everything a boy does. when i was younger i thought it was cute that boys chased the girl even after she said no. i loved it when after a girl moved away from a kiss, the guy would pull her back and force it on. i thought a guy saying ‘i won’t take a no for an answer’ was passionate and romantic. we’re literally always teaching girls to romanticise abusive traits.

In every movie we’ve seen this in where its viewed as romantic, the girl WANTED the kiss, had reservations, and the kiss chased them all away. Its never seen as romantic when the girl doesn’t want it. Its only romanticized WHEN THE GIRL ACTUALLY DOES WANT IT. Get the fuck off of your political high horse and stop squashing romantic things.

The Desire to Squeeze and Hug Cute Things Comes From the Same Place In Your Brain As Aggression

psych2go:

Have you ever seen a puppy walking down the street that was so cute it compelled you to go down on your knees to squeeze it? Or a baby so adorable you were forced to pinch its cheek and squeal “you’re so cute I could just eat you right up”? These are both examples of average reactions to what is universally deemed as cute, however it is plain to see that there is some underlying aggression to these actions, i.e. squeezing, pinching, and vocal desires of flesh consumption.

Its actually because there is no relief from the emotion we feel when we think something is cute, so the desire to squeeze it is us subconsciously trying to kill it to relieve the emotion.

I am sick of people thinking deodorant is optional

i’m sick of people thinking that they can judge others on a normal bodily function and that the only way they can be accepted is to wear something that is harmful/poisonous to your body. just because some men in the 1880’s decided bodily odor was no longer acceptable.

bitch you stink

If you were actually concerned about your health when it comes to deodorant, you’d by all natural deodorant. However, if you just want to make the most god-awful statement that just reeks, you go without.
Let me tell you why.
The odor underneath your arm is causes by bacteria that’s manifesting itself due to the dark and damp that happens when you don’t wear antiperspirant. This can cause rashes, broken skin, and infection. We also shave underneath our arms to cut down on the amount of bacteria in our armpits (yes ladies, men got the shot end of the stick on that one. Genital and underarm hair are extremely unsanitary)
However, yes. A good amount of antiperspirants have aluminum, however its really only toxic if you use the entire stick at once. The trace amount of aluminum in deodorant does not hurt you with the tiny daily amount, unless you are extremely sensitive to it, which the majority of the population isn’t. So, for all you feminists out there “making a statement”, you’re really only hurting yourselves. You can peg being too lazy to shave and put on deodorant on “being political”, but really you’re just smelly and stupid. What, are y’all going to go back to showering once a month too?
